Ingredients

  • 450 g (1 lb) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

  • Melt butter in the skillet, sauté garlic 30–45 seconds. Add red pepper flakes if desired.

  • Return shrimp to skillet, toss with sauce, and cook 1 minute.

  • Finish with lemon juice and parsley. Serve immediately.
