A comforting and indulgent pasta dish made with silky garlic butter sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and a savory finish.
12 oz (340 g) spaghetti or linguine
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup (120 ml) reserved pasta water
1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan-style cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Cook pasta in well-salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve pasta water and drain.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat and gently cook garlic until fragrant.
Add salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and reserved pasta water. Stir to combine.
Add pasta to the skillet and toss until coated and glossy.
